Cleveland Cavaliers guards Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert will be sidelined as the team tries to avoid a Game 5 upset tonight against the Boston Celtics (7 ET, TNT)

Mitchell's left calf is still sore, while LeVert has a sprained left knee. Mitchell missed Monday's Game 4 with a calf injury, but was unable to keep the Cavaliers' 109-102 loss to the Boston Celtics, tied 3-3 lone Eastern Conference champion. Mitchell has been nursing a left knee injury since the All-Star break, suffering the injury in the final minutes of Cleveland's Game 3 on Saturday. Cleveland knocked off the top-seeded Celtics in Game 4 despite missing Mitchell and center Jarrett Allen, who missed his seventh straight game with a groin injury. The deficit was cut to five in the final two minutes, but Max Struss missed a 3-pointer and Cleveland couldn't hold on.

"They are a tight-knit group and have a lot of energy all year," said coach J.B. Bickerstaff. - We have been through a lot with this team and our team has not failed when the opportunity has presented itself or when the team needs to step up.

"They always step up to give us a chance and I think they did a good job tonight." Mitchell struggled for the Cavaliers in his second postseason campaign in Cleveland. He entered Monday's game averaging 29.6 points per game in these playoffs, making for a solid summer for him and the Cavaliers. He is eligible to sign a contract extension but there is no indication he wants to stay away from Cleveland.

Allen has been sidelined since being injured in Cleveland's first game against the Orlando Magic. Before the injury, he was averaging 17 points and 13.8 rebounds per game and was the dominant player. He grabbed 20 rebounds in the Cavaliers' Game 2 win over the Magic. Darius Garland replaced the missing Mitchell, scoring 30 points and dishing out seven assists in 40 minutes. "He's responsible for us," Bickerstaff said. -He blamed them and made them make difficult decisions, and I think he made the right decisions. I think he does a good job of evoking enthusiasm and inspiring our spirits.

The Cavaliers are trying to set a regional playoff record with 48 3-pointers, and they will likely follow that streak in Game 5. "Same aggressive, same attitude," Garland said when asked what it would be like to win the fifth game. – Try to shoot as many three-pointers as possible, especially when going downhill. Then immediately attack the package.

Alvin Mobley and LeVert each scored 19 points for the Cavaliers, who were frustrated by attempting just seven free throws while holding Boston to 24. "I'm not going to talk about it, but because of the number of drives we had, it was ironic," Garland said. – Number of paint strokes. Scored 24 points, only made seven free throws in a basketball game, I don't know.

I am not one of the defenders. – I'm not one to wear striped shirts, but I know how many times I've been beaten. I know how many times my friends hit me, fell to the ground, and we couldn't answer. It's difficult.
